We live in a world where we need to make clear, our stand, and our position, in order for us to not be taken for-granted. Where standing up for ourselves and others is essential. Unfortunately some people in this world aren’t given that right, despite their consistent efforts and confidence. A perfect example is right before the very eyes of every humankind. Not standing up for Black people. It makes the biggest of a difference to stand up for them and the slightest difference of all if it is not the white people making this stand. It’s what’s sad but true. We need to understand that these people are no different from us. They possess the same blood, shed the same sweat and tears. Probably even more with all the injustice going on.
The real question is that if we appreciate and enjoy the rap music published by the Black community and how stylish there lifestyle can be, then what is so wrong in standing up for them and with them to support in this unjust money making world. Do they have to be in demand for your attention? Well let’s be real here, trendy people can handle themselves, and they will draw in more supporters without even having to try. What you and I need to do is try our best to alter such philosophies on racism. I have witnessed my non-Black friends’ protest with the simplest actions of posting the partiality going around in the world based on racism and raising awareness. Along with that, looking at white people march the streets of USA and various other hometowns makes all the more difference displaying unity and that’s what we need.
However the silence has always towered over these riots. This is because while a handful are standing up for Black people rights, the rest of the majority sits around to watch the show or just simply ignore these sorts of situation. Well I say NO! It’s time these white people stood up! For those who can and are accessible to the situation more than others, MUST practice what they preach and forget about retweets or instagram stories, but use their bodies and make known their presence. The ways in which you can show your empathy is when you protest, not by asking your Black friends to talk about their ordeals so you feel disheartened enough to take a march for them. But see and observe, I’m sure the level racism has reached to speak volumes in regards to trauma that every single Black person might’ve faced. Be careful of what you say and be a support to evolve to a change. As Mother Teresa said “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples”, which is what she did and made both a name and a change. This is your stone, cast is with your heart.
