After three listening parties and years of built up hype, the highly anticipated album DONDA had been released on the 29th of August. Donda Chant: Many were confused as to why this track exists in the first place, but some have found a deeper meaning to it. The chant represents the last heartbeats of Donda West, and the word ‘Donda’ was repeated 58 times, which was the age of Donda West before she passed.

The first campaign promoting Donda aired on  21st July, and the album released on 29th August. That means the duration between the first campaign and the release date was 40 days, which was the same amount of time it took the Bible to be completed and bestowed on the earth.

Broken Records: According to Spotify, Donda holds the record for biggest first day streams of the decade and also 2nd largest streamed album in a single day with 95 million streams. The album has also gone #1 in over 160 countries.

“Kanye’s Donda broke the 2021 record for being the most-streamed album and artist in a day.” Biblical Reference: A theory spreading on twitter suggests that in the song “Jail”. Kanye implements the Bible verse that says that when lightning strikes the earth God is releasing you, Kanye portrays this by the sudden beat switch in the end of the track which allegedly represents the lightning and thunder.

Kim Kardashian diss track? : Fans also believe the track “Jail” might be a secret Diss Track on Kim Kardashian. Possibly, Kim Kardashian may be referred to as the “Jail” that had held Kanye. After the announcement of their divorce in February this year, Kanye had gone rogue on social media and started working on his album.
